Sonic Mania Plus is coming to Netflix's mobile app
Netflix has announced that fan-favorite platformer Sonic Mania Plus is coming to its mobile app next year.
The details:
The game's upcoming inclusion in the subscription service was confirmed in a blog post about the company's future gaming plans. Although no specific release date was given, the title will be available for both iOS and Android users in 2024.
Sonic Mania was a huge hit with fans as a return to classic 2D Sonic games, combining the best of each series entry into one game with entirely new stages. Due to its success, it received a "Plus" version, which added the "Encore" mode and two new characters, Mighty the Armadillo and Ray the Flying Squirrel, both of whom appeared in the SegaSonic the Hedgehog arcade title.
Netflix has been pushing into the gaming space at a rapid pace, striking a deal with Rockstar to bring Grand Theft Auto Trilogy: The Definitive Edition to mobile for its subscribers, and it also has several other notable titles on the way, including Football Manager 24 Mobile and the indie hit Hades.
