First screenshot from BioShock 4 reportedly leaks online
A screenshot reportedly from Cloud Chamber's upcoming fourth BioShock game has surfaced online, providing fans with their first look at the highly anticipated title.
The details:
As reported by MP1st, the image came from an anonymous visual effects artist's showreel at 2K, which was created in 2021. The screenshot depicts an early build of the game, codenamed "Parkside," with the player wielding a "Ricochet Shotgun" and a UI that includes a health bar, what appears to be a "EVE" bar, and icons that could be plasmids.
The image also shows a structure with a globe-like ball of light on top. Fans have already speculated on what it could be, with some believing it to be a new take on the series' iconic art deco lighthouse from the original game's intro or another type of reference.
BioShock creator Ken Levine is not involved in the project, instead founding Ghost Story Games, which is currently working on Judas. Cloud Chamber has since taken over the franchise, with past BioShock developers Jonathan Pelling and Hoagy de la Plante serving as the project’s design director and creative director, respectively. The two previously worked across the design, art, and programming teams on the original game, with Pelling serving as Infinite's creative director.
Cloud Chamber recently confirmed that hiring for the project had ramped up, implying that we may hear more about the title in the near future, given that it has been five years since its announcement.
