Saber Interactive

Following the announcement that Saber Interactive had been sold by Embracer Group, the company's COO has confirmed that Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2, John Carpenter's Toxic Commando, and Jurassic Park: Survival are still in development.

The details:

  • Yesterday, it was confirmed that Saber had been acquired by a group of private investors for $247 million, raising concerns about the future of its upcoming projects and development teams.

  • In a post on X, COO Tim Willits confirmed that Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, John Carpenter's Toxic Commando, and Jurassic Park: Survival are all still in active development, with the team behind the games believed to remain unchanged. “I have received a lot of questions concerning the status of some of our previously announced projects now that Saber has separated from Embracer,” Willits wrote. “I’m happy to confirm we’re still working on a number of titles, including Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando, and Jurassic Park: Survival.”

  • Space Marine 2 has already been significantly delayed, with its original release window of Winter 2023 pushed back to September 2024 in November. Toxic Commando, a co-op shooter, is set to release later this year, while Jurassic Park: Survival, a single-player action-adventure title, has yet to receive a release window.
