Wardogs sells 2 million copies and hits 428k concurrent players in less than a week, BULKHEAD announces

British studio Bulkhead Interactive has announced that its tactical FPS Wardogs sold 2 million copies in under a week, making it by far the biggest success in the studio's history.

The milestone was announced on X, where the studio wrote: "2 MILLION COPIES SOLD. Thank you all. Beyond humbled. We made a game we wanted to play with friends. Watching you play it with yours has been the best."

Wardogs peaked at 428,666 concurrent players on its first weekend, according to SteamDB. The game holds a "Very Positive" rating on Steam, suggesting a strong second weekend could push that record even higher.
Bulkhead Interactive, based in the UK, previously released The Turing Test, Battalion 1944 (later retitled Battalion: Legacy), and Killrun — the last of which was its previous biggest hit with over 250,000 copies sold. Wardogs has completely eclipsed that in days.
Fellow British studio Facepunch — makers of Garry's Mod and Rust — offered their congratulations to the team on social media, a nod to what is a notable homegrown PC gaming success story.
