IO Interactive

IO Interactive has pushed back the Nintendo Switch 2 version of 007 First Light a second time, with the game now not expected until March 2027 — nearly a year after the original day-one release on other platforms.

The details:

  • The Switch 2 version was originally planned to launch alongside the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC versions on May 27, 2026, but IO Interactive announced in April that the port needed more time and pushed it to summer 2026. It has now been delayed again, this time to March 2027.
  • The studio has cited quality and performance on the Switch 2 hardware as the reason for the additional time needed.
  • This is the second delay for the Switch 2 version of the game, making it one of the more drawn-out platform rollouts for a major release this year. Players on other platforms have been able to access the game since late May.
