WWII Hitman-style game takes stealth action to new heights in Unreal Engine 5
Haggard Games, a small independent game development and outsourcing company based in Russia and established in 2005, is currently developing a brand new installment of the "Death to Spies" series in Unreal Engine 5.
"Death to Spies" is a stealth action PC game originally released in 2007, set in the backdrop of World War II. The game follows the adventures of Captain Semyon Strogov, a member of the Soviet counterintelligence agency known as SMERSH. In this new iteration of the game, Haggard Games aims to deliver an enhanced and immersive experience by leveraging the capabilities of Unreal Engine 5.
The game will retain the core elements that made "Death to Spies" popular, offering players the opportunity to undertake thrilling espionage missions in the heart of enemy territory. As Captain of the 4th department of SMERSH, players will be tasked with executing a range of covert operations, such as stealing vital documents, eliminating enemy officers, kidnapping high-ranking officials, and sabotaging enemy plans.
Death to Spies includes a variety of spy skills that players can employ strategically. These skills include sneaking, hiding, carrying dead bodies, changing clothes, mining objects, throwing knives, sniping, picking locks, setting traps, and more. By mastering these abilities, players can navigate challenging situations with finesse and creativity.
Furthermore, "Death to Spies" will feature a wide array of authentic weapons and vehicles from World War II. Players will have access to historically accurate armaments and transportation options, further immersing them in the atmosphere of the time period.
By developing the new "Death to Spies" game in Unreal Engine 5, Haggard Games aims to deliver stunning visuals and realistic environments. Unreal Engine 5 introduces cutting-edge graphics technologies such as real-time ray tracing, advanced lighting systems, and detailed physics simulations. These features will contribute to a visually impressive and immersive experience for players, breathing new life into the series.
