PlayStation VR 2 has received a permanent price cut, Sony announces

Sony has announced that the PlayStation VR 2 will be receiving a permanent price cut, allowing fans to get their hands on the headset for a significant discount.
The details:
According to a new blog post, the headset will now retail for $399.99/€449.99/£399.99 starting in March. Previously, the system was priced at $549.99/€599.99/£529.99, so players can now get the headset, controllers, and stereo headset for $150 off.
Sony is also releasing a new bundle priced at $399.99 that includes Horizon: Call of the Mountain, allowing buyers to get the PSVR2's biggest draw at no extra cost. Sony also notes that the system was recently updated to include support for low-latency hand tracking, allowing the headset's built-in cameras to be used for more accurate gameplay, hinting that new titles could be coming.
While the PSVR2 had a strong start, selling just under 600,000 units in its first six weeks on the market in early 2023, it was later revealed that production on new units had been halted just a year later due to low sales. The platform's disappointing sales can be attributed to a lack of original games, with Sony releasing only two first-party titles in its first year, and many third-party releases already available on other platforms such as PC and the Meta's Quest headset.
