Bethesda has launched a Make-A-Wish charity auction, allowing fans to bid on the unique opportunity to have themselves immortalized as an NPC in The Elder Scrolls 6.

The details:

  • As announced on X, the charity auction (Lot #301) will allow the highest bidder to create a custom NPC in the highly-anticipated RPG. “This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity allows you to immortalize yourself in one of the most highly anticipated video games of all time, The Elder Scrolls VI,” the description reads. “The Elder Scrolls series, developed by Bethesda Game Studios, is renowned for its vast open worlds, deep lore, and immersive storytelling. With this exclusive experience, you’ll work with the developers to create a custom character that will appear in the game, leaving your mark on the legendary franchise.”

  • Despite only going live last night, the bid is currently sitting at $11,500 USD as of writing, making it a very expensive but rare opportunity to get involved with what is expected to be one of the biggest games of all time. All proceeds from the winning bid will be directly donated to the Make A Wish Foundation.

  • Unfortunately, the auction does not provide any additional information about the game or a release date, as very little has been revealed since its initial announcement in 2018. In 2021, it was confirmed that TES VI was in the design phase, with Bethesda shifting its focus to the project following the release of Starfield. The game is still likely years away, with director Todd Howard having previously stated that he regrets announcing the title so early.
