Multiplayer title Pokémon Champions has been announced for Switch and mobile

The Pokémon Company has officially announced Pokémon Champions, a multiplayer battle-focused game coming to Nintendo Switch and mobile.
The details:
The game, announced during Thursday's Pokémon Presents, is being developed by The Pokémon Works, which consists of ILCA, the developer of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl, with Game Freak, Pokémon's core developer, overseeing the project. Champions does not yet have a release date, but as it is being developed for the Switch "family of systems," it could receive some Switch 2-exclusive improvements.
The title will focus on online battles between players and appears to be similar to the classic Pokémon Stadium games, with many generations represented and the ability to transfer Pokémon from mainline entries via Pokémon Home.
Although little else has been revealed, the trailer confirms that Mega Evolution and Terastalization transformations will be available during battles. It is unclear how many Pokémon will appear, as the older Stadium titles lacked the full Pokédex during the franchise's first two generations.
Pokémon Champions is most likely the previously leaked Pokémon Synapse, which was stated to be a multiplayer game in development by ILCA and Game Freak last year.
