Mortal Kombat 1 is receiving crossplay next week
Netherrealm has announced that Mortal Kombat 1 will receive a crossplay update next week, allowing PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC players to play multiplayer together.

The studio announced the addition of "Krossplay" in a recent X post, confirming that the feature will be available in a new patch on February 28 for all platforms except Nintendo Switch. Netherrealm intends to reveal more details next week, closer to its release.
Peacemaker will also be playable for Kombat Pack owners in early access on the 28th, with the character becoming available to all players on March 6. Janet Cage is also scheduled for a March release, with a free weekend beginning March 7 on Xbox for Game Pass owners, PS5, and Steam.
Aside from the rough Switch port, Mortal Kombat 1 has been a hit with fighting game fans. Its developer has continued to release updates, adding highly requested features like the ability to cancel matches based on connection quality.
