The Boys’ Homelander reportedly coming to Mortal Kombat 1

Following the announcement that the antagonist would appear in Call of Duty, it seems that he will also make an appearance as a DLC character in Mortal Kombat 1.

The details:

• A new video was posted on the presumably official TikTok account of the in-universe company "Vought International Studio," announcing the inclusion of the character Black Noir in Call of Duty. In response to a fan comment that read, "COD and possibly MK?" the account simply replied, "MK confirmed." Further down in the same comment thread, it was confirmed that the character will join the fighting game's roster once again, saying "Homelander will be available at some point. That's all we can say.”
• Homelander was one of the rumored DLC fighters for the game that was leaked in May via an Amazon listing. The character is expected to be fully playable in the game and will not be featured as a "Kameo fighter," Mortal Kombat 1's cast of support characters who can assist players during battle. Homelander is not the only comic book character rumored to be included in the fighting game; DC's Peacemaker is also on the list.
• It's unclear when Homelander will be released if the "confirmation" is true, but it's said he will be included in the first Kombat Pack, which is expected to arrive in late 2023 or early 2024. Until then, fans will have to make do with legendary martial artist Jean Claude Van Damme and series antagonist Shang Tsung when the game is released on September 19 for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
