Fireshine Games has announced that Denshattack!, its arcade-style skateboarding train game from developer Undercoders, has sold 150,000 copies and accumulated over 300,000 total players since its July 2026 release. The milestone positions it as one of the indie breakout stories of the summer, earning comparisons to Jet Set Radio and landing a 98 percent positive rating on Steam alongside an 88 on Metacritic.

The details:

  • Denshattack! is available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and Nintendo Switch 2. The gap between 150,000 paid copies and 300,000 total players reflects the game's presence on subscription services. The 98 percent Steam score and 88 Metacritic aggregate suggest the critical response has matched the commercial one.
  • The game tasks players with rail-hopping aboard a skateboarding train in a brightly coloured, fast-moving world that draws heavily from early 2000s arcade aesthetics. It has been widely described as a spiritual successor to Jet Set Radio.
  • Sarah Hoeksma, CMO at Fireshine Games, called the result "tremendous," adding that the game "delivers a fearless, bold celebration of classic video game fun that went above and beyond expectations this summer, while delivering remarkable value to players." Fireshine has been building a label around similarly distinct indie titles, including the recently released Duskfade.
