Tomb Raider Anniversary port rumors circulate following leaked PS4 trophy list

Rumors surrounding a possible port or remaster of 2007’s Tomb Raider: Anniversary have begun to circulate after what appears to be a trophy list for the game surfaced online this week.

The details:

  • As spotted by Reddit user VeldinX, PlayStation trophy tracking site True Trophies recently added a trophy list for Tomb Raider: Anniversary for PS4, despite no official announcement of the re-release. The game was first released on the PS2 and later ported to the PS3 as part of the Tomb Raider Trilogy collection, but the trophy list for the PS4 version appears to be completely different.
  • VeldinX also noted that this will likely be a port of the game through the PS2 Classics series rather than a remaster from Tomb Raider I–VI Remastered studio Aspyr, as the trophy list is short and coupled with icons that do not share a similar design to those from the previous remasters. “The style of this leaked list tracks with other games released for Sony’s classics catalogue, e.g., the small number of trophies and the design of the images,” they explained. “If it were Saber’s remaster, it would likely have a large, expansive list of things to do, and the images would be in the same style as TR1-6 were.”
  • However, it's possible that Aspyr is still working on a remaster of the game for another collection. According to Reddit user Jasonvsfreddyvs, the official Tomb Raider X account mentioned Underworld and Legend on several occasions last month, the other two titles that accompanied Anniversary in the Tomb Raider Trilogy.
