Moon Studios has pushed No Rest for the Wicked's 1.0 launch from October 2026 to March 2027, saying the game is "not quite there yet" after extended playtesting. The delay affects the PC and PS5 release; Xbox Series and Switch 2 versions were already planned to follow at a later date.

The details:

  • Creative director Thomas Mahler said the team wants additional time to polish gameplay performance and the class system before committing to a full release. A final closed beta is planned for December to gather player feedback ahead of launch.
  • The game had been on track for an October release, which would have put it just weeks before GTA 6's November 19 launch. Moon Studios cited a refusal to compromise on quality: "We're holding our games to a standard we won't compromise on."
  • Early Access players have had the Founder's Pack cutoff extended to January 1, 2027. PlayStation 5 players will be able to purchase the Founder's Pack when console pre-orders open in January.
