Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is getting a PC release in July

The latest entry in Sony’s platforming franchise is arriving on PC on July 26, 2023 on the Epic Games Store and Steam.

The details:

• In a new blog post, PlayStation announced that Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will be released on PC in 2021 as part of the series' 20th anniversary celebrations, making it the first franchise entry to do so. Nixxes Software is working on the port, which was responsible for the well-received PC ports of Marvel's Spider-Man and its sequel, Miles Morales.
• Many new features are included in the PC version, such as ultra-wide support, upscaling settings such as DLSS and FSR, fully customizable keyboard and mouse controls, and even support for the DualSense controller's haptic feedback and dynamic trigger features. For those with a more powerful rig, new ray-traced reflections and shadows have been added.
• Due to its standalone storyline, new characters, and visuals, PlayStation stated that Rift Apart is a "excellent one to start with" for newcomers to the franchise. It's possible that Sony will port older games in the series in the future, including the movie tie-in and remake of the first game, Ratchet & Clank (2016).
• Those who pre-order will be able to use the Pixelizer weapon and Carbonox Armor earlier in the game, as well as the five armors from the Digital Deluxe Edition and the 20th Anniversary Armor Pack, as well as five armors inspired by previous Ratchet & Clank games.
