Game Freak has given fans an in-depth look at Beast of Reincarnation, its upcoming post-apocalyptic action RPG arriving later this year.

The details:

  • As announced at Xbox’s Developer_Direct showcase, Beast of Reincarnation will launch this summer on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with the game arriving on Xbox Game Pass on day one. The title was previously announced as Project Bloom before being sold off from Take-Two's Private Division label in 2024, with publishing duties now handled by the newly founded company Fictions.
  • During the presentation, the studio revealed that the game is set in 4026 and follows protagonist Emma, an exiled "Sealer" tasked with defeating the Beast of Reincarnation alongside her wolf companion Koo in a world ravaged by parasitic blighted plants. Emma carries the unique ability to hunt creatures called Malefacts and seal their blight.
  • Emma and Koo both have full skill trees for players to work through as they progress, becoming closer to each other along the way. The pair also have various unique abilities that can be used during combat and exploration, including Emma’s vine-like hair that can be used for traversal.
