The Nintendo Switch 2 version of IO Interactive’s upcoming James Bond game 007 First Light has been delayed until later this summer, while the game’s May launch on other platforms remains unchanged.

The details:

  • In an update shared via the official 007 First Light social media channels, IO Interactive confirmed that the game will still arrive on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on May 27, 2026, with the Nintendo Switch 2 version now arriving “later this summer.”
  • The staggered launch follows a previous delay announced in December, when the studio pushed the game back on all platforms from its original March 27 date to May 27, citing a need for extra time to polish and refine what it describes as its most ambitious project so far.
  • No reason has been provided for the latest delay, but it will likely be a move to provide additional time for further polish as the hybrid console has weaker hardware than its rivals.
