Infamous director says he would love to see a re-release of the series, but Ghost of Yōtei remains studio's focus

Infamous director Nate Fox has stated that he would love to see the series be re-released for current-generation platforms at some point but confirmed that Sucker Punch is focusing exclusively on the development of Ghost of Yōtei.

The details:

• In an interview with Game Informer, Fox was asked about the upcoming sequel to Ghost of Tsushima, but also one of Sucker Punch’s other major franchises, Infamous. When asked if he would be open to returning to the series, he shared that it's not off the table but that the studio prefers to focus on a single project at a time. "I would love to work on more Infamous," said Fox. "I would love to see a trilogy rerelease, but Sucker Punch is a one game at a time shop, and right now we are very focused on finishing Ghost of Yōtei."
• Fox joined Sucker Punch during the development of the original Sly Cooper, serving as a designer, before later becoming the director for all entries of the Infamous series. Currently, he is the co-director of Ghost of Yōtei, which is set to arrive as a PS5 exclusive on October 2.
• Infamous debuted as a PS3 exclusive in 2009 and quickly garnered a dedicated fanbase for its karma system that allowed players to make decisions that would make protagonist Cole MacGrath either good or evil. Each side would grant different superpowers and alter Cole’s appearance. The last entry, Second Son, was released in 2014 as an early PS4 title, but the series has remained dormant since.
