The next Ghost Recon is said to be a first-person shooter.
It has been claimed that Ubisoft’s next mainline Ghost Recon game, codenamed "OVR," is running into serious development problems, with internal doubts about its quality.
The details:
According to Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson, the project has “already [been] facing internal struggles and challenges,” with repeated design overhauls, trouble finding a clear direction, and the possibility it could be delayed or cut back due to Ubisoft’s ongoing layoffs and wider restructuring.
The new Ghost Recon is said to be a first‑person, “realistic” tactical shooter set in a fictional Southeast Asian conflict. The game will be set in the modern era, feature both single-player and multiplayer gameplay, and have a darker tone.
