Ubisoft has hired Christoph Hartmann, co-founder and former president of 2K Games, to serve as General Manager of Creative House 2, the division responsible for the publisher's Tom Clancy-branded franchises. The appointment is among the most significant executive hires Ubisoft has made during its ongoing restructuring.

The details:

  • Creative House 2 oversees Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon, and The Division, as well as the recently acquired free-to-play MOBA March of Giants
  • Hartmann co-founded 2K Games in 2005 following Take-Two's acquisition of NBA 2K developer Visual Concepts, serving as president and overseeing the launches of franchises including BioShock, Borderlands, and Mafia
  • Most recently, Hartmann served as Vice President at Amazon Games before departing earlier this year as the company shifted its gaming strategy
  • His arrival at Ubisoft comes as part of the publisher's major restructuring into five independent creative divisions, announced at the start of 2026
  • Creative House 2's mandate centres on competitive, cooperative, and tactical gameplay experiences
