The Witcher spin-off studio The Molasses Flood merges with CD Projekt Red

CD Projekt has announced that Boston-based Witcher spin-off developer The Molasses Flood has been merged into main series studio CD Projekt Red following the departure of its co-founder.
The details:
In a new statement posted on The Molasses Flood's website, the studio confirmed that as of April 1, it is no longer a separate legal entity, and CDPR has assumed all of its legal rights and obligations. It also states that CD Projekt will continue to sell and maintain both of TMF's original games, "The Flame in The Flood" and "Drake Hollow," despite the merger.
In a LinkedIn post about the merger, TMF co-founder Damian Isla confirmed that Monday was his last day at the studio, stating that the decision was "long-expected" but ultimately "GOOD AND HEALTHY thing for the studio." “It breaks down some organizational barriers, and better integrates the TMF team with the rest of the amazing CDPR org,” Isla wrote.
TMF was founded in 2014 by former Bungie, Irrational Games, and Harmonix developers, and released its debut title, The Flame in the Flood, in 2016. CD Projekt announced its acquisition of the studio in 2021, and it began work on a Witcher spin-off currently known as "Project Sirius." Just two years later, it was confirmed that development had been rebooted, resulting in a large write-off and a number of layoffs.
