Red Dead Redemption is coming to PC later this month

Rockstar has announced that its beloved 2010 western Red Dead Redemption will be available on PC for the first time in late October, alongside the Undead Nightmare expansion.

The details:

  • After years of rumors, the PC port will be available on the Rockstar Store, Steam, and the Epic Games Store on October 29, with UK-based developer Double Eleven also working on the game. It will include the Undead Nightmare single-player DLC, but not the multiplayer mode found in the original release.

  • The release will include several PC-specific enhancements, such as ultrawide and super ultrawide support, full keyboard and mouse controls, HDR support, and customizable graphical settings, including an adjustable draw distance. It will also include NVIDIA DLSS 3.7, AMD FSR 3.0 upscaling technologies, and NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation.

  • Red Dead Redemption was released on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch last year, making the game fully playable on all current major consoles thanks to the Xbox Series X/S's improved backward compatibility support for the Xbox 360 version. This raised questions about when it would be available on PC, as the PlayStation Store listing for the game was accidentally updated in August to include a description of the PC port improvements.
