Unannounced Red Dead Redemption PC port details revealed via PlayStation Store
Details regarding an unannounced PC port of Rockstar’s classic 2010 title Red Dead Redemption have been accidentally revealed in the description of the game’s PlayStation Store listing.
The details:
Early on August 13, fans noticed that the PlayStation Store page for the PS4 remaster of the game stated that it was now available on PC "for the first time ever." The description also stated that the PC port would include "support for increased resolutions and framerates, multiple displays, and other accessories, plus spatial surround sound."
The description has since been reverted to its original state, but the change is visible in an archived version of the page on the Wayback Machine. It is thought that Rockstar is preparing to reveal the highly anticipated release of the port, which will include the Undead Nightmare DLC, but may have mistakenly changed the description on the wrong platform.
Red Dead Redemption was released in 2010 for the Xbox 360 and PS3, and it has since been regarded as one of the best games of that generation, with a critically acclaimed sequel arriving in 2018. Despite the fact that RDR2 arrived on PC just a year after its release, the first game only made a controversial jump to Nintendo Switch and PS4 last year, with references to a PC port appearing in a datamine back in May.
