Microsoft reportedly working on another Halo: Combat Evolved remaster and it could come to PS5
It has been claimed that Microsoft may be working on a new remaster of Halo: Combat Evolved with the intention of bringing the iconic shooter series to PlayStation for the first time.
The details:
According to The Verge, the project is still in its early stages of development and is being considered for Xbox's multiplatform strategy, codenamed "Project Latitude."
Itβs also claimed that Hellblade 2, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Starfield, and Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition are under consideration for PlayStation releases. A new Doom game, expected to be revealed at the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase, may also come to PS5, but Fable and the rumored Gears of War 6 will remain Xbox exclusives.
After acquiring Activision Blizzard and Call of Duty last year, Microsoft announced that it would bring its back catalog to the Nintendo Switch and PS5, starting with Sea of Thieves, Hi-Fi Rush, Pentiment, and Grounded. Although it did not guarantee that more games would be released in the future, Hi-Fi Rush and Sea of Thieves performed well on the competing platforms, with the latter topping European sales charts.
