Update: BioWare has confirmed Dragon Age Dreadwolf has been renamed to Dragon Age: The Veilguard, with a gameplay reveal scheduled for June 11.

It has been suggested that Microsoft and its partners may show over 30 games at its Xbox showcase later this week, one of which could be BioWare's Dragon Age Dreadwolf, albeit with a new name.

The details:

  • According to Giant Bomb's Jeff Grubb on the Kinda Funny Gamescast, the June 9 showcase will reportedly run for "about two hours" and will feature "about 30 games." Grubb also claims that "around five games" will be revealed for the first time at the event.

  • Grubb also claimed that an entry from BioWare's Dragon Age franchise will be making an appearance. "'Dragon Age: Dreadwolf' probably won't be there, 'Dragon Age' will be there, if that makes sense," the reporter said. While some speculated that this could be referring to a remake of Dragon Age: Origins, Bloomberg's Jason Schreier clarified that it is more likely connected to a rumor about Dreadwolf being renamed before its release next year.

  • It has been confirmed that Call of Duty Black Ops 6 will be fully revealed in its own showcase following the event, but it has been speculated that Avowed, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, and Starfield’s Shattered Space DLC could all receive their expected 2024 release dates at the show. It was also reported that Gears of War 6 and a new Doom could also be announced.
