- The title will be a single-player, third-person game in the action-adventure genre.
- The game will tap into the "rich history" of the popular character, channeling his "complexity, charisma, and creative genius" in an original narrative.
- Marvel's games department is working with Motive Studio, an EA subsidiary led by Oliver Proulx β somebody who previously worked on Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy game.
The future: There's more to come from Marvel and EA.
- The Iron Man game is in "early development" during the pre-production phase with no known release date.
- Buried in the official announcement is that the title marks the beginning of an "exciting new collaboration" between Marvel and EA which will span "several new games."
- Motive Studio, which counts Star Wars: Squadrons and Star Wars Battlefront II as its past projects, currently has 15 open roles listed on Hitmarker. It's hiring for positions like Senior Gameplay Developer, Lead AI Developer, and Physics Developer.
