Insomniac Games president and founder Ted Price announces retirement from the gaming industry

Ted Price, the founder and president of Marvel’s Spider-Man, Spyro, and Ratchet & Clank developer Insomniac Games, has announced his retirement from the gaming industry after more than 30 years.
The details:
Price announced his retirement in a new statement posted on Sony's website, explaining that he felt it was "simply time to step aside and let others pave the way for our team," and that he will leave the studio at the end of March. He stated that the decision was made last year, and that he has since been working with studio executives to create a stable "succession plan."
Following Price's departure, Chad Dezern, Ryan Schneider, and Jen Huang will lead Insomniac as studio co-heads. Schneider and Dezern have been with the company since the PS1 and PS2 eras, respectively, and Huang joined as CFO eight years ago after previously working as a finance executive in the tech industry. In a joint statement, the trio stated that they aim to "keep making the games you love, while taking care of the people who make them" and that Insomniac will "continue prioritizing our studio culture, built around transparency and collaboration."
Price founded Insomniac (then known as Xtreme Software) in 1994, and the company's debut title, Disruptor, was released in 1996. The studio went on to create the PlayStation mascots Spyro the Dragon and Ratchet & Clank, as well as the PlayStation-exclusive IP Resistance. After releasing multiple sequels and the Xbox exclusive Sunset Overdrive, the studio developed Marvel's Spider-Man in 2018 before being acquired by Sony the following year, with it currently working on Marvel's Wolverine.
