Electronic Arts

EA has announced the launch of two official Battlefield REDSEC esports circuits, marking the debut of a structured competitive system for the battle royale title.

The details:

  • As confirmed by the publisher in a new post to the Battlefield 6 blog, two new circuits, the Elite Series and Open Series, will begin on December 10 and December 12, respectively. The two competitions will have a combined prize pool of more than $1 million USD across EMEA, the Americas, and APAC.
  • The Elite Series features an invitation-only format with 50 team captains handpicked by EA from each of the three participating regions. These captains will select their four-person squads for the series, ensuring that established FPS professionals are involved from the competitive scene's inception. Teams will compete in six REDSEC matches followed by Gauntlet elimination matches, with three match days scheduled through December 16, before the series concludes with the Regional Season Finals on December 18.
  • The Open Series will be open to anyone interested in competing, with sign-ups available through Repeat.gg. The competition is available on all platforms regardless of control input.
  • The Open Series Finals are set for January 17, 2026, where the top 250 squads from each region will compete. The top eight teams from the Open Series Finals will then advance directly to the next season's Elite Series, providing a clear pathway for emerging talent to become pro.
