God of War Laufey announced, a new major title coming to PS5

Sony and Santa Monica Studio have announced God of War: Laufey, a PS5 spin-off that focuses on Kratos’ late wife Faye, following her journey through the afterlife of the gods.

The details:

• The game was announced during PlayStation's State of Play and is "coming soon" exclusively to PS5, but no release date has been revealed. It’s likely that it will arrive in 2027, with doubts surrounding a PC port due to PlayStation’s move away from multi-platform single-player releases.
• Following the events of God of War 2018, Faye awakens in a mysterious realm known as the Everywhen, dubbed "the afterlife of the gods," and must figure out where she is and how to return to her family.
• Laufey is billed as a full-fledged action game, combining the Greek-era series' faster, combo-heavy combat with the Norse games' character-driven storytelling, with a strong emphasis on Faye's agility, close-range melee, and powerful magic.
