Crimson Desert developer Pearl Abyss has shared the summer 2026 roadmap for the RPG, with new difficulty options, quality-of-life features, and content on the way, and says it’s now actively working on its first DLC.

The details:

  • The three-month roadmap detailing content coming between June and September was revealed via the Crimson Desert website. In the blog post, Pearl Abyss confirmed that updates will bring additional difficulty levels, new mounts and companions, boss replays, enemy respawns in cleared areas, extra clothing and weapons, new abilities for various characters, better storage options, and much more.
  • Changes are coming to the game’s highly criticized story too, suggesting that it may add new details, cutscenes, or even rework some of its biggest moments. "To further strengthen the narrative flow of Kliff’s journey and to make it more engaging, we are working to refine and improve the coherence of key scenes. We hope these improvements will offer something new even for those who have already experienced Pywel," Pearl Abyss shared.
  • The studio also confirmed that official DLC is on the way, though it is holding off on sharing any details of its story or content. "We are also hard at work on an upcoming DLC for Crimson Desert, and while we cannot share the details just yet, we are preparing it as a meaningful addition to your journey. We will share more details in the future, so stay tuned," the developer said.
