Baldur’s Gate 3 receives split-screen co-op on Xbox Series S consoles in new stress test

The latest stress test for Baldur's Gate 3's final patch has added the ability for Xbox Series S consoles to play split-screen multiplayer, which was removed from the game prior to release due to technical limitations.
The details:
Before the Xbox release of Baldur's Gate 3 last year, it was announced that the Series S version of the game would not include local co-op as Larian had struggled to get the mode to perform consistently on its lower-end hardware. Microsoft requires games to provide the same gameplay features on both Series X and Series S, but Larian was granted an exception after the company was nearly forced to postpone the title's release again.
As previously announced, the eighth major patch for the Xbox version will finally enable Series S players to access local multiplayer. Those who participate in the latest stress test, which is open for registration and takes place prior to the release of a patch, can now access the split-screen mode on their consoles. However, Larian has not provided information about what players can expect in terms of technical performance.
The patch will also introduce cross-platform play, though PC players must limit the number of console-compatible mods they enable to 100. The final update will also include 12 new subclasses, a photo mode, and a number of bug fixes, as Larian has decided to focus on new projects rather than creating new DLC.
