Dragon Age: Dreadwolf reportedly “keeps getting pushed back” internally

Earlier this year, the Mass Effect team was brought in to help with development.

Journalist and insider Jeff Grubb claims that BioWare has repeatedly delayed the next Dragon Age title, with a release window set for mid-2024.

The details:

Grubb claimed to have discussed the current state of BioWare behind the scenes with sources close to the studio in a new episode of Game Mess Mornings. According to the sources, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf was supposed to be released in September 2023, but it was pushed back to March 2024, and then again to Summer 2024. Grubb also stated that it is "very likely" that it will be pushed back to late 2024 or even 2025.
BioWare announced on August 23 that it would be laying off approximately 50 employees to become a "more agile and focused studio." It stated that its "dedication to [Dragon Age: Dreadwolf] has never wavered," that development would continue, and that it was "confident that [it'll] have the time needed to ensure Dreadwolf reaches its full potential.”
In June, the studio laid off an unspecified number of employees after the development of Star Wars: The Old Republic was transferred to Broadsword Online Studios. It's possible that the internal reorganization influenced Dreadwolf's development in some way, with some of the affected employees being transferred to other areas within EA.
EA confirmed in March that the team currently working on the next Mass Effect title had been brought in to assist with Dreadwolf's development, resulting in the Mass Effect team shrinking as pre-production work continued.
