Valve’s next piece of hardware could be revealed soon

A new piece of Valve hardware has been certified in South Korea, leaving fans to speculate whether it is related to the Steam Deck, a VR headset, or a successor to the Steam Controller.

The details:

• According to Arca.live user @dxpl (via Brad Lynch), South Korea's National Radio Research Agency has certified a "low power wireless device" created by Valve Corporation, with the certification number "RC-V1V-1030." The certification only reveals that the device has 5GHz Wi-Fi.
• Due to the lack of information, fans are now speculating whether this is related to the Steam Deck, such as a new model, or if it is connected to an entirely new system. Some believe that it could be a new Steam Controller based on the current Steam Deck layout, or "Deckard," a standalone VR headset that was reportedly tested internally at Valve in 2021.
• It has also been discovered that those with the correct username and password can access a mirror of SteamOS that appears to be linked to "Galileo," a rumored revision of the Steam Deck. It's unclear how long the page has been up, but if it's recent and related to the new certification, an announcement could be coming soon, as internal prototypes aren't typically certified.
