Switch 2 Edition of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will not include its DLC, Nintendo confirms

Nintendo has confirmed that the upgraded Switch 2 Edition of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will not include any of the game's DLC and will be sold separately.
The details:
In its recent Switch 2 Direct, Nintendo announced that some Switch 1 games would receive next-gen upgrade packs, which would include various performance and visual improvements, as well as entirely new content. Among the games mentioned were Super Mario Jamboree, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, and Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.
In a statement to IGN, Nintendo confirmed that neither of Breath of the Wild's DLC packs, The Master Trials or The Champions' Ballad, will be included in the game's Switch 2 Edition. Players must instead purchase the $20 Expansion Pass, unless they already own it from the original Switch version. “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition does not include The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Expansion Pass DLC,” the company said. “That DLC is available as a separate purchase.”
While fans were pleased to learn that games would be updated for the next-generation console, resulting in a smoother playing experience, some have criticized Nintendo's decision to charge a fee for the upgrades. Upgrades for owners of the original games cost between $10 and $20, depending on whether or not they include additional content. However, those looking to purchase the Switch 2 version of Breath of the Wild, either physically or digitally, will need to shell out $70, which brings the total to $90 with the Expansion Pass.
