Persona 4 Revival has been officially announced
Atlus

After voice actors from the original Persona 4 confirmed that they would not be involved in an unannounced remake, Atlus has now revealed the title.

The details:

  • Announced during Xboxโ€™s Games Showcase on Sunday, Persona 4 Revival is set to arrive on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Game Pass, though no release date has been announced yet. There wasn't much gameplay shown in the brief trailer, but we did get a quick look at its new visuals, which features a unique muted color scheme in comparison to the original 2008 title.

  • P-Studio director Kazuhisa Wada said in an accompanying statement that the developer is working on P4 Revival "with all our passion and love" and hopes it will be a "fresh and surprising product for both newcomers and long-time fans," similar to last year's Persona 3 Reload. The director also stated that P-Studio is "actively preparing for the future development of the Persona series," implying that a brand new entry could be on the horizon.

  • Rumors of a Persona 4 remake have been circulating for years, after fans discovered a domain name referencing the game months before its release, similar to P3 Reload. Several voice actors from the original game then announced last month that they would not be involved in a remake, despite the fact that Atlus had yet to reveal the project.
