Blizzard has teased that a crossover with Atlus’ hit RPG Persona 5 is coming soon to Overwatch 2 alongside a brand new hero and new game modes.

The details:

  • At the end of Blizzard’s new trailer for Season 18 of Overwatch 2, Joker from Persona 5 makes an appearance, teasing that a collaboration is on the way. While no further details have been revealed, it’s believed that the crossover will bring with it skins for existing OW2 heroes that will resemble characters from the RPG.
  • Season 18 kicks off on August 26 and brings with it Wuyang, a new Chinese support hero described as an "aquatic prodigy" who makes use of water-based abilities focused on “sharp aim, quick thinking, and fluid movement.”
  • The game will also receive more stadium content, including the new mode “Payload Race,” a Quick Play queue for faster queue times, and the introduction of Winston, Brigitte, and Pharah, with Tracer joining its playable line-up later in the season.
  • The last major change is a full PvP refresh and perks update, introducing over 50 new hero-specific perks, rebalanced options for select heroes, and a rank reset for its competitive mode.
