Final Fantasy 7 Revelation is launching April 8, 2027, Square Enix announces

The details:

• New gameplay footage shown at the State of Play revealed the Highwind airship as a means of open-world exploration, new summons, and new playable characters. A Mecha-Chocobo and Moogle Summon Materia is available as a pre-order bonus across all editions.
• A $350 Collector's Edition was also announced featuring a statue of Cloud, Sephiroth, and Zack. The game ships on one disc but includes a mandatory download, and a Story Expansion Pass covering two post-launch DLC chapters was confirmed.
• The April 8 date puts Revelation in the same spring window as several other major releases but gives the trilogy a clear endpoint after Final Fantasy VII Remake launched in 2020 and Rebirth in 2024.
