Ninja Gaiden 4 is in the works at Team Ninja and PlatinumGames, Ninja Gaiden 2 remaster out now

It has been announced that Team Ninja has partnered with PlatinumGames to develop Ninja Gaiden 4, and a remaster of 2008's Ninja Gaiden 2 is now available.
The details:
As announced at Xbox’s Developer_Direct, Ninja Gaiden 4 is set to release in “Fall 2025” for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Game Pass. It is being developed by Team Ninja, the franchise creator, in collaboration with PlatinumGames, best known for action games like Bayonetta and the cult classic Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.
The game, which marks the first entry in the franchise in over a decade, will focus on a new protagonist, Yakumo, and is set in Tokyo, which has been "drastically transformed by the influence of the underworld." However, Ryu Hayabusa, the original protagonist, will play a "pivotal role in the story."
Platinum director and producer Yuji Nakao has stated that the game is currently "70-80% complete" and that its difficulty level will be comparable to Ninja Gaiden 2, but more balanced for the player. “We are staying true to the challenge and deep action that defines the Ninja Gaiden series while incorporating the speed and dynamic expression of PlatinumGames,” Nakao said. “We are putting all our efforts into making this a true mainline sequel that continues to evolve the series.”
Ahead of 4’s release, Ninja Gaiden 2 has received a remaster, Ninja Gaiden 2 Black, which is available now on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Game Pass. The remaster has been dubbed as the "definitive version" of the 2008 title and is built in Unreal Engine 5, allowing for significant visual improvements over the original.
