Multiplayer title Cast Outs revealed by former Sony London Studio developers

Twisted Works, a studio featuring former PlayStation London Studio developers, has unveiled Cast Outs, an upcoming multiplayer title that appears to be a revival of its cancelled Sony-backed project.

The details:

• As announced yesterday, Cast Outs is an online co-op game set in an urban fantasy-inspired London, a similar concept to what London Studio team was working on until the developer was shuttered in 2024. The title is set to arrive in early access in Q1 2027 across PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version being considered.
• In Cast Outs, a team of up to four players is tasked with using magic to take down enemies across London in what Twisted Works describes as a “perfect balance of quick-fix fun and high-octane action.”
• While not confirmed to be connected to the scrapped London Studio project, Cast Outs’ artwork certainly bears a lot of resemblance to concept art released by Sony. The premise of the game is also similar, suggesting the team took what it had worked on and continued to build off of it as an independent studio.
