Lies of P developer Round 8 announces sci-fi survival horror project, Lies of P DLC will arrive early next year
Neowiz, the South Korean publisher best known for the hit Soulslike Lies of P, has announced that Round 8 Studios' next game will be a sci-fi survival horror title and that Lies of P's DLC will be available in Q1 2025.
The details:
As reported by Korean news outlet EBN, the publisher states that while it is too early to share more details about the project, it is "one of the PC and console games that Round 8 Studio is preparing," with the other most likely being the sequel to Lies of P. EBN also revealed that the game will be built in Unreal Engine 5.
The report also claims that the previously announced DLC for 2023's Lies of P will be available in the first quarter of next year. While little is known about the DLC other than some screenshots, which game director Ji Won Choi said "scratches merely the tip of an iceberg," it is being developed alongside the sequel and aims to improve the base game in various ways.
Lies of P is one of the few Soulslike releases to achieve significant success not to be developed by Souls series creator FromSoftware, selling over a million units in less than a month. It was confirmed earlier this year that it had surpassed seven million players across all platforms and that PS5 Pro enhancements would be coming soon.
