Kojima Productions has announced that it will be showing off some of its upcoming projects later this month as part of its 10th anniversary celebrations.

The details:

  • The studio has confirmed that it will host “Beyond the Strand,” an in-person event at Roppongi Hills TOHO Cinema in Tokyo on September 23. Tickets are currently on sale to the public via a lottery system, but the show will also be streamed live for free across the company’s official channels.
  • The event will be hosted by studio founder and head Hideo Kojima and marks the tenth anniversary of the company’s founding following his controversial departure from Metal Gear publisher Konami in 2015. According to the developer, Beyond the Strand will feature “special guest appearances as well as offer a glimpse into future projects.”
  • It’s unknown what exactly will be shown at the event now that Death Stranding 2 has arrived. Currently, Kojima Productions is developing OD, an upcoming horror title being developed in partnership with Xbox that was first announced with a strange trailer in 2023. The legendary director also shared that his Sony-backed espionage game “Physint” is still in the concept stage and that only he is working on the project. Outside of games, Kojima is also serving as an executive producer on A24’s Death Stranding movie adaptation.
