Grand Theft Auto VI still on track to launch in Fall 2025, Take-Two confirms

Take-Two has confirmed that there are no plans to delay Grand Theft Auto VI, despite previous rumors of development troubles.
The details:
During its most recent quarterly financial report, the publisher confirmed that it still plans to release GTA VI later this year, though no specific release date has been announced. "This calendar year is shaping up to be one of the strongest ever for Take-Two, as we plan to launch Sid Meier's Civilization 7 on 11th February, Mafia: The Old Country in the summer, Grand Theft Auto 6 in the Fall, and Borderlands 4," Take-Two said.
Back in March 2024, it was claimed that development had "fallen behind," prompting Rockstar to call remote employees back to its physical offices in an attempt to get the project back on track. While the game was still scheduled for Fall 2025, a 2026 release was considered a "fallback plan." However, Bloomberg's Jason Schreier dismissed the rumor, calling it "unfounded."
GTA VI's lack of a release date is reportedly causing problems for other publishers as they try to avoid conflicts with the release of their major titles. According to Bloomberg, companies are waiting as long as possible before committing to launch dates, with Take-Two also confirming that Borderlands 4 will not be released around the same time.
