EA confirms full Battlefield reveal this summer, will still release before April 2026

EA has announced that a full Battlefield reveal will take place this summer, reaffirming its plan to release the shooter before April 2026.
The details:
In its latest financial report, EA CEO Andrew Wilson confirmed that the publisher will fully reveal its upcoming Battlefield title sometime in the summer. Currently, the publisher is aiming to release the game before the end of the fiscal year, which ends in March. “As we look to the future, we’re confident in our ability to execute across a deep pipeline,” Wilson wrote, “beginning this summer with the highly anticipated reveal of Battlefield, a pivotal step in delivering on our next generation of blockbuster entertainment.”
Battlefield, which was announced earlier this year with a brief teaser, has undergone playtesting via the new Battlefield Labs program, which allows select fans to provide feedback during development. Despite participants signing non-disclosure agreements, footage from the tests has unsurprisingly leaked online, revealing the franchise's return to a modern setting with gameplay systems comparable to Battlefield 3 and 4.
In a new post to X, the game’s development team announced that more players will be granted access to upcoming Labs playtests after "validating a solid foundation" from its previous four test sessions. Future tests will be open to those in North America, Europe, and select parts of Asia, and will include new content with a focus on weapon balance, destructible environments, and player movement.
