Bungie announces Marathon gameplay reveal showcase for April 12

Bungie has confirmed that Marathon gameplay will be revealed later this week on Twitch, providing fans with their first look at the extraction shooter reboot of Bungie's pre-Halo franchise.
The details:
Following a series of cryptic teasers posted to social media, the studio has released a new trailer titled "Save the Date." The video shows an unnamed character being chased through a jungle by what appears to be a robot before being severely injured, with a pink cat curling up next to them.
The trailer confirms that a full gameplay reveal will occur on the official Marathon Twitch channel on April 12 at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. EST/6 p.m. BST.
Aside from the details revealed by game director Joe Ziegler in October 2024, little is known about Marathon. The multiplayer PvP extraction shooter will have players take on the role of Runners, mercenaries who work in groups of three to locate and retrieve valuable loot on the dangerous planet of Tau Ceti IV. Players will be able to improve their equipment, skills, and more as they complete quests across "evolving, persistent zones."
