Xbox will share its "vision for the future" next week
Following a number of rumors claiming that multiple Xbox exclusives will be released on rival platforms, Microsoft Gaming boss Phil Spencer has confirmed that the company will provide an update to fans next week on its future plans.
The details:
It has recently been suggested that Bethesda's Starfield and upcoming Indiana Jones game may be released on PS5, with Nintendo Switch and PS5 ports of Sea of Thieves and Hi-Fi Rush expected to be announced soon. Rumors that Gears of War would be coming to PlayStation also began to circulate on Monday.
Spencer has now indirectly responded to the reports on X, stating that the company intends to share its "vision for the future of Xbox" at a "business update event" next week.
Although the CEO did not confirm or deny the rumors, it appears that Microsoft is moving toward a multi-platform release structure, with titles first arriving on Xbox and PC before moving on to other systems. This is in line with previous comments from Microsoft CFO Tim Stuart, who stated that the company intends to bring Game Pass to as many platforms as possible.
