Warhorse Studios announces new Kingdom Come and Lord of the Rings projects

Warhorse Studios, the developer behind Kingdom Come: Deliverance, has announced that it is working on both a third title in the series as well as a previously rumored Lord of the Rings RPG.

The details:

• As announced in a brief post to X, the upcoming Middle-earth game will be an open-world RPG, confirming previous rumors that the studio was developing a “big budget” title featuring the iconic IP that began circulating earlier this year.
• However, the developer also confirmed that it is working on a third entry in its popular Kingdom Come series, following on from Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, which launched early last year.

• Nothing else has been revealed about either project, but the studio teased their existence in a Reddit Q&A earlier this month. During the AMA, community manager Tom Grey and content director Ondrej Bittner chose not to dismiss any rumors, instead stating that the team was working on an RPG that is “true to our colors—huge, story-driven, and immersive."
