Kingdom Come studio teases its working on a “huge, immersive RPG” as Lord of the Rings rumours circulate

Kingdom Come: Deliverance studio Warhorse has refused to confirm reports that its next project is a Lord of the Rings game but has said that its next project will be a “huge, immersive RPG.”

The details:

• Rumors that Warhorse is working on a big-budget Lord of the Rings title first surfaced in March, after a Polish Tolkien podcast, and later reports claimed the studio was working on a third-person open-world Lord of the Rings game.
• In a recent Reddit AMA, Warhorse was asked about the LOTR rumor, to which community manager Tom Grey responded that the studio “can’t comment on future projects,” while content director Ondrej Bittner added that the team is “hard at work on… something” that he can only describe as “a huge, immersive RPG.”
• The studio was then asked by another user if the game will be a “historical RPG,” and while not directly confirming or denying if it will be, Bittner said that it "will definitely be an RPG true to our colors—huge, story-driven, and immersive."
