Unannounced Horizon MMORPG reportedly cancelled at NCSoft

It appears that Guild Wars developer NCSoft has reportedly cancelled its MMORPG based on Sony’s Horizon series before it was even announced following layoffs at the company.
The details:
In 2022, it was claimed that Sony was working with the South Korean company to develop an MMO based on the Horizon IP. This was followed by an official announcement that the two companies had formed a strategic partnership, with job postings mentioning a project codenamed Project Skyline.
However, according to Korean news outlet MTN (via ResetEra), Project Skyline, also known as Project H, has been canceled along with projects "Pantera" and "J" following a "feasibility review." According to the report, H and J have already been removed from NCSoft's organizational chart, and all three projects were canceled between the end of 2024 and the start of 2025.
Some employees are said to have left the company as a result of the cancellations, while the remaining developers have been assigned to other internal projects, including those based on the popular Lineage IP. The cancellation may also be related to layoffs at NCSoft back in October, when the company also canceled "Project M," a previously announced thriller title.
Project H is not to be confused with Guerrilla Games' multiplayer project, which was announced as in development in December 2022. Little is known about the title, but it is expected to be the studio's next major release and is most likely still in development.
