Ubisoft has confirmed that it is developing new titles in its biggest franchises and its first playable generative AI "experience."

The details:

  • As announced in its latest financial report for the past fiscal year, the publisher said that it expects a “strong rebound” over the coming years through the release of several major projects in the Ghost Recon, Assassin’s Creed, and Far Cry franchises.
  • So far, the Assassin's Creed lineup includes Codename Hexe, which could launch next year, and Black Flag Resynced, which will be released on July 9, 2026. Regarding Far Cry, it was reported a few years ago that Ubisoft was working on both a new mainline title and a multiplayer experience, but there is no information about the next Ghost Recon entry.
  • Ubisoft also notes that it is accelerating investments into Teammates, its “first playable generative AI experience” that it announced back in November 2025. The project was referred to as an “experiment” at the time and is set to be a first-person shooter where players interact with a squad consisting of generative AI-powered characters through voice chat. The company notes that the continued investment into AI has led to “more intelligent bots supporting our QC teams and smarter NPCs and game worlds that can adapt to player behavior and react more dynamically in real time.”
