The Grass of Genesis: New Gameplay Revealed for Upcoming 'Tomb Raider-Like' Action Game
Hong Kong-based studio Well Link has unveiled an 18-minute gameplay video of their upcoming action game, "The Grass of Genesis." This third-person action-adventure seems to be akin to the beloved Tomb Raider series and the adrenaline-packed John Wick film franchise. The gameplay video showcases a prototype that introduces various gameplay elements and engaging animated cinematic sequences. Players can look forward to the game's official launch in 2024.
Powered by Unreal Engine 5, The Grass of Genesis promises players an immersive cinematic experience and a captivating storyline that spans approximately 12 hours of gameplay. One standout feature is the integration of cloud technology for real-time rendering, a strategy that eliminates the need for high-end hardware and instead relies on a stable internet connection. This innovative approach has been effectively employed by Well Link before, most notably in the cloud version of Genshin Impact.
Well Link's announcement also marks China's pioneering venture into entirely cloud-based cinematic graphical gaming. With The Grass of Genesis' cloud service offering 10GB of resources per minute, the game is set to deliver stunning visuals and advanced real-time cloud rendering technology. Its resemblance to the Tomb Raider series adds an exciting twist to the action-adventure genre.
Grass of Genesis is set to be released in late 2024.
